Farwewell

Rebecca, you were always my favorite youngest Klyce.
If I asked you for a hug, I'd never have to ask you twice.
You always gave such happiness to those you were around,
but now that you are gone the only thing that I have found
is sorrow, loneliness, mourning, and an awful sobbing sound.
Rebeca, I will miss the way you always had a smile,
because now you are with God and I won't see you for awhile.
Now, as I remember you, I have begun to cry,
for I cannot stop asking myself the painful question "Why?"
But I do not question God, for he works mysteriously
and I am sure He had a reason for taking you from me.
God sent you as a teacher, a leader, a friend to everyone.
You spread the joy, you gave the hugs, you made holidays so fun.
The memories you gave us I will cherish my whole life through,
the drawings, the laughter, the hide-and-seek, the gifts we gave to you.
I've poured my heart, or rather my heartbreak into this poem,
which I dedicate to you.
I'll miss your smile, your laugh, your hugs, I'll miss everything you do.
My eyes have cried so much that they're now sore and dry.
Rebecca this poem is for you, it's my way of saying goodbye.
Rebecca, you left us so quickly, I don't know what to do.
so I express my pain with poetry by saying
Rebecca, I love you.
